Home of the Blues
Originally founded in 1959 by Ruben Cherry, owner/operator of the Home of the Blues record shop on Beale Street in
Memphis, the small regional label only lasted a few years, but recorded a great many wonderful examples of
post-Sun blues and pre-Stax soul by artists such as Woodrow Adams, Roy Brown, The "5" Royales, Harmonica Frank,
Willie Mitchell, and others. (formerly known as Hara Music, affiliated with BMI)
